We’re Dan and Teagan Bird, the husband-and-wife team behind B&C Cabinets. Both raised in Mareeba, we’re proud to be continuing the legacy of a trusted local business that’s been part of the community since 1976.

Dan (or “Birdy” to many) began his cabinetmaking career right here at B&C Cabinets over 18 years ago, starting as a school-based apprentice. After gaining experience across the industry, he's come full circle, now leading the business with hands-on expertise in quoting, measure-ups, 3D design, and custom cabinetry.

Teagan, a registered nurse by background, brings her care, organisation, and people-first approach to the business. She now manages client communication, scheduling, and project coordination, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We’re incredibly grateful to follow in the footsteps of Daniel and Georgie Schincariol, and before them, founders Joe and Sue Bonaventura. Their hard work and dedication-built B&C’s reputation for quality, honesty, and craftsmanship, values we are proud to uphold. We officially took ownership of the business in April 2025 and are honoured to continue its legacy with fresh energy and a strong commitment to our community.

Of course, we wouldn’t be where we are without our amazing team. Grant and Aiden, our qualified cabinetmakers, bring unmatched skill and attention to detail to every project. Josh, our first-year apprentice, is already proving to be a fast learner and valued team member.

We’re lucky to work alongside such a talented and passionate crew. They are the heart of B&C Cabinets, and we’re proud to call them family.
